Our story

Alara Retreat is not just an idea, it is a reflection of our journey as two friends and a shared dream that started out simple. We met while studying abroad, through mutual friends. At first, the relationship was casual and superficial, but later, things changed. When one of us moved to a new city, the other came to visit her with other friends, and from there our relationship began to take on a different depth.

What makes our friendship special is that we don't need a lot of talking or frequent meetings to feel close. We are so similar that talking to each other always feels comfortable and natural, as if we complete each other. Even when life gets busy, we find ourselves returning to the same point, with the same intimacy and warmth.

Some of our best memories are the days we used to go to a lake near where we lived. We would rent bikes or small boats, laugh at the simplest situations, and forget the world around us. Those moments were filled with lightness, happiness, and the feeling that we were in the right place with the right person.

Then the idea for Alara came out of the blue. We had always dreamed of traveling together, but one time we were planning a road trip and ran into a small problem: neither of us had a driver’s license! We started joking around and brainstorming solutions, and the idea evolved. What if this trip wasn’t just for us? What if we designed experiences that would make every woman feel like she was on a special trip, without the hassle of planning or worrying?

And from there, the idea began to become a reality. Alara Retreat is not just a trip, it is a space dedicated to women. A space to connect, to explore, and to create lasting memories. We believe that travel is not just about the places, but the people we share those moments with.

Our goal is to offer women the opportunity to feel light, free, but also deep and belonging. "Alara" is an extension of our friendship, of our love of detail, and of our desire to share this feeling with others.
